The driver of the pick-up truck is facing at least one felony charge and has an arrest warrant for reckless homicide and aggravated reckless driving. The deceased was driving a Kia Sorrento and was traveling south when she was struck by the pick-up truck. According to the news report, the pick-up truck was heading west and ran the red light.
The driver of the Kia Sorrento was pronounced deceased, and the driver of the pick-up truck was transported to a local hospital to be treated. The pick-up driver’s bond has been set at $250,000, and it was last reported that he was being guarded by police while being treated at the hospital. Upon his release from the hospital, he will be transported to a local county Jail.
